Officers responded to Home Depot June 17 for a report of two shoplifters loading two air-conditioning units into their truck.

It was determined that the passenger had pushed the units out of the store but left them behind when confronted by loss prevention. The Cleveland man, 56, was arrested for the theft, valued at $798.
The driver was released without any charges.
A man reported at the station June 13 that he saw an Amazon truck back into a residential mailbox in the 600-block and leave the area.
He showed photos of the damaged mailbox and the truck, which appeared to identify it by a number, but not the license plate.
Officers are following up with Amazon and the resident.
A caller reported around 9:15 p.m. June 13 that a golf cart with about eight teens on it was being driven on the roadway by a girl who did not look old enough to drive.
Officers located the cart and confirmed that the girl operating it was 16 and had a valid license.
There were five juveniles in the cart with six available seatbelts and the vehicle was street legal and had no loud music playing, which had also been reported.
Shortly before midnight June 13, officers responded to a residence after a woman reported being assaulted by her husband.
The woman, 42, said she wanted the man, 48, out of the house and was uncooperative with officers.
The man claimed that the woman had grabbed him and would not allow him to leave.
With no evidence of an assault and the situation being adjusted, officers left the home after the man left in an Uber.
About 90 minutes later, the woman called once more and said her husband returned and crawled through a window. She claimed he assaulted her, took her keys and left with her vehicle.
After responding officers failed to locate the man in the area, the woman said she was unsure if what she reported happened the first time, she called police or another time.
Kohl’s loss prevention reported June 17 that a theft from earlier in the week had been discovered on surveillance video.
Two women had taken a duffle bag from the store and concealed multiple items in it before exiting and leaving the area in a silver sedan.
Officers were able to identify the suspects and issued warrants for the arrest of the Cleveland woman, 32, and Akron woman, 29.
The estimated value of the theft was $864.
A man, 19, reported June 17 that he sent explicit photos of himself to a suspected woman he met on social media and was then told to pay $700 to avoid having the photos leaked.
Through a cash app, the man sent the supposed woman $500 and was met with a demand for more money. He sent a total of $1,000 before reporting the incident to police.
Officers collected information from his social media and cash app account to investigate.
