The Tatmine association launched a new plastic waste recycling unit this week in the industrial zone of Sidi Bernoussi.

This center has now been extended, with the aim of recovering plastic waste through the collection, sorting and preparation of waste for recycling manufacturers.The project also aims to support and train garbage collectors, as well as to formalize their activity.
In this sense, Mousaid Zahira, manager of a partner packaging company, recounts her experience in recycling.This buys waste from manufacturers, to transform polyethylene into garbage bags, 100% recycled, made in Morocco, and other types of plastic in grains.
“If we manage to duplicate this type of project in all industrial zones in Morocco, this will have a very significant impact on the cost of imports from Morocco, especially in the plastic sector,” specifies Zahira, who reveals that several conventions have been signed. signed with various partners with the aim of promoting the circular economy and developing research.
