Doosan Shows Redesigned Generators with Doosan-Built Engines | Rental Equipment Register

Doosan Portable Power showed its G25, G50 and G70 mobile generators at the World of Concrete last week. The mobile machines incorporate innovations based on customer input, aimed at improving operator experience. The units offer improved fuel efficiency, extended runtimes and lower sound levels.

The machines are the first mobile generators equipped with Doosan-built engines, the D18, D24 and D34, built at the company’s factory in Korea. The D18 and D24 are designed with a diesel oxidation catalyst after-treatment system, designed to be virtually maintenance-free. Containerised Generator

“The Doosan powertrain allows our Doosan Portable Power authorized dealer network to provide end-to-end service and full warranty support, offering customers the advantages of a single source for all maintenance and repairs,” said Todd Howe, global generator product manager, Doosan Portable Power.

The 51-kVA G50 replaces the 35-kVA G40 in Doosan Portable Powers generator product line, a change driven by customer demand for higher kVA output. Another customer-driven feature of the G25, G50 and G70 is increased onboard fuel capacity for runtimes in excess of 24 hours at any load factor. An optional 48-hour runtime is available on the G25 and G70 models.

The generators are quieter than previous models, especially the G25 at 63 dBA.

Howe said the units are designed for general construction and event applications.
