Longtime UFC cage announcer Bruce Buffer will honor the U.S. military with an exclusive suit at UFC 309.
Buffer is known for his high energy inside the Octagon. He’s a massive reason why MMA, and particularly the UFC, has become a global phenomenon. api5l gr b
UFC 309 is headlined by a heavyweight title clash between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic. Buffer will be front-and-center for all the action at UFC 309, as two UFC legends battle on one of the biggest cards of the year.
Buffer’s suit closet adds to his legendary run as the voice of the Octagon. He’s donned unique suit designs throughout his UFC tenure, dating back to when the promotion was struggling to garner relevancy in 1996.
In light of Veterans Day in the United States, and ahead of one of the UFC’s biggest events, Buffer is combining the two to honor those who’ve served and continue to serve in the U.S. armed forces around the world.
In collaboration with Black Rifle Coffee, Buffer will wear a tailor-made suit in support of special operations warriors. The jacket features hand-picked tiger-striped camouflage to commemorate the Vietnam War and veterans.
“This is a way to bring massive awareness to the men and women who’ve served this country,” Buffer said in a press release. “It reminds us of the freedoms that we often take for granted.
“I’m proud to wear it, and I’m proud to support the Special Operations Warrior Foundation.”
After UFC 309, Buffer’s specialty suit will be auctioned off, with all proceeds going to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation’s Children with Disabilities Program. You can bid on the suit immediately following UFC 309 at the link here.

Buffer made his Octagon announcing debut at UFC 8, hosting the card’s lone preliminary fight. Ken Shamrock headlined the card against Kimo Leopoldo in a Superfight Championship bout.
Buffer became the UFC’s full-time ring announcer at UFC 13. Not long after securing the full-time role, he coined his signature move the ‘Buffer 180’, a 180-degree spin while introducing both combatants.
