Freida B in Worcester, Massachusetts, creates custom figure skating costumes for both individual as well as synchronized skating teams. The owner, Cheryl Downs, says there is a trend now for the more sparkle the better, and that sparkle comes from rhinestones and different fabric varieties. With over 200 different rhinestones to choose from, the possibility for spark and shine is truly endless!
Elsie Kaye Glassworks in Westborough is both a gift shop as well as a glass bead making studio. Owner Holly Kenny says once you start making beads, you get hooked and can’t stop. She holds workshops for people of all ages. Kenny transforms her beads into everything from jewelry to houseware to all sorts of gifts.
