Danish jewellery and accessories brand Pilgrim is partnering with Aer Rianta International (ARI) at Montreal Airport for four weeks, to highlight its collection with a super-sized sunglasses display.

Located in the international terminal, the eye-catching installation is sited close to Pilgrim’s branded image wrap column, both of which draw attention to the brand’s extensive range of sunglasses displayed on the stand-alone, dual-facing units.

Handmade and designed in Denmark, and inspired by Pilgrim’s Scandinavian roots, the gender-neutral sunglasses collection is made from recycled material, in line with the company’s ethos and ongoing commitment to sustainability.

The sunglasses feature polarised lenses and UV400 protection, and are available with silver- and gold-plated sunglass chains. Prices range from CAD79/US$58.

ARI Head of Category Richard Maynes commented: “We have been stocking Pilgrim sunglasses for over a year and are delighted by the response from customers. We invited Pilgrim to create something different and eye-catching for our promotional space. The oversized pair of sunglasses stands out in a world full of complex visuals.”

“We have produced an installation that represents our contemporary design ethos and exudes style and personality,” noted Pilgrim Head of Travel Retail Louise Rohde. “These giant sunglasses make a statement that represents our commitment to creating products that are both fashionable and functional.

“They symbolise adventure, sun-soaked getaways and the essence of travelling in style. They’re not just a pair of sunglasses, they embody the experience we want our customers to enjoy. This sunglasses event with ARI ensures that travellers not only see our brand but experience it in a way that sets us apart.”

Founded in 1983 by Annemette Markvad and Thomas Adamsen, Pilgrim is an international, family-run company. The brand is available in airport, cruise and airline retail. In the domestic market, Pilgrim’s stronghold is in Europe, but the brand is also well established in Canada.
