HVP Magazine - ESBE launches Flexbox manifold unit for smarter heat management

The ‘Flexbox’ is said to offer greater efficiency as well as flexibility when installing boilers or renewable heating systems, in both domestic and commercial premises where there are two or three heating zones.

The compact boxes can be surface mounted or recessed into a wall for which a blanking strip is available. When mounted inside the wall a cover strip is available as an option to cover the transition between the box and the wall or other substrate while the design of the air vent valve allows for 360o orientation.  balancing ufh manifold

Intended for DN20 compatibility, there are two incoming connection ports (left and right) on the supply side, though one is plugged to avoid unnecessary piping. The proportions of the Flexbox also allow for either uninsulated GxA394 or insulated GxA311 circulation units to be installed, along with shut off valves.

GRA394 has a 3-way rotary mixing valve with progressive characteristic and comes with a knob for manual adjustments, but can be equipped with your preferred actuator (ARA) or controller (CRx). GRA311 is equipped with 3-way rotary mixing valve with progressive characteristic and an assembled 3-point 230V AC actuator series ARA661.

All components remain easily accessible for adjustment during commissioning or subsequent maintenance, which potentially reduces call-backs.  A ‘quick-fit’ connection further facilitates rapid detachment and re-installation.

ESBE’s UK & Ireland Sales Director, Darren Myers, commented: “We are passionate about hydronic system solutions and always target the highest standards of quality and sustainability, as well as ease of installation for the products right across our range: which covers not only boilers and heat pumps, but underfloor heating, refrigeration and HVAC projects.”

“Working with our distributors, our technical team seeks to support professional installers with project specific design solutions, while our continuing product development responds to our customers’ needs.  Manufactured under exacting factory conditions, Flexbox is the simpler, smarter and smoother alternative to installing all of these separate hydronic components individually on site.

"The introduction of Flexbox is already attracting a lot of interest in countries such as Italy which favours compact solutions and I believe it is putting us ahead of the competition.”

Specifiers and heating engineers seeking further information on Flexbox can call on the support of ESBE’s technical advisory service or go on-line to view the manufacturer’s helpful and instructional videos.
