The Plenary of the Court of the Administrative Council of Economic Defense (Cade) unanimously disapproved of the purchase, by Knauf do Brasil, of the manufacturing plant of Drywall Plaster Signs of the Industrial Clover of Pasters. He noted that the proposed behavioral remedies consisted mainly of production and price regulation goals, difficult -to -monitor remedies with high risk of ineffectiveness. "The proposal presented by the applicants was insufficient to mitigate the potential damage to the competitive environment resulting from the operation, imposing the disapproval of the operation," he said.
The analysis of the operation also pointed out that the market rivalry conditions could be harmed mainly in the northeast region of the country.
