A community project is giving an old horse trailer new life.

3 Sisters Equine Refuge in Redmond is a non-profit that rehabilitates and retrains horses in order to send them to good homes. But the horse trailer it has used for years is no longer fit for the job. Square Manhole Cover

Rather than throwing it out, the non-profit partnered with Forge School. As a service project, the students transformed the trailer into a swag shop for 3 Sisters.

"There were tears flowing, and I think all of us were super surprised at what the outcome was. They kind of had kept that all hidden from us as they worked on it. So none of us really knew what it was going to look like," said Cyndi Davis of 3 Sisters Equine Refuge.

The horse trailer will still be used to support the rescue and rehabilitation of horses in Oregon.
