"Four members of the group, which the police arrested in mid-June, are accused by the investigators of illegally storing fakes of official drugs with a hormonal effect and sending them by mail to other distributors in various parts of the Czech Republic. Part of the group was at the top level in strength sports, so the suspects used the environment of gyms to sell to end users," informed police spokeswoman Lucie Šmoldasová.
Police officers conducted 19 house searches and 16 searches of other premises. Among the things found were various types of substances with a hormonal effect abused for the growth of muscle mass and for sports doping. "Their total value in final distribution would be at least 1.5 million crowns. Then various amounts of cocaine, clephedrone, mephedrone and marijuana," said the spokeswoman.
Criminal investigators also seized financial resources with a total value of over 6.5 million crowns. "Criminal proceedings took place in six places in the Czech Republic, more specifically in the Olomouc, South Moravian, Ústí and Central Bohemia regions and in Prague," Lucie Šmoldasová added.
"The accusation of possession and use of anabolic steroids was also communicated to the doctor, who is further accused of having sold a larger number of packages of the drug Xanax worth 20,000 crowns to members of the group after a prior agreement without a medical prescription and medical reasons, for the purpose of further distribution," Šmoldasová described.
