ARRESTED: Detectives Identify and Arrest September McLean Rape Suspect | Fairfax County Police Department News

McLean Police District – UPDATE: Detectives from our Major Crimes Bureau identified Erick Vladamir Chacon Martinez, 23, of Falls Church, in connection to the September 16 rape in McLean. Arrest warrants were issued, and on December 5th, Chacon Martinez was taken into custody by detectives of our Fugitive Track and Apprehension Unit.

On September 16 at 6:40 p.m., Chacon Martinez arranged to meet the victim at the Quarry Inn Motel at 7179 Lee Highway. When she opened the door, the suspect displayed a knife and threatened the victim. The suspect then sexually assaulted her. The victim was able to escape the room and call 911. doorbell phone system

Officers and detectives immediately began canvasing for leads. Surveillance footage of Chacon Martinez leaving hotel was found and shared with the community.

During a review of digital evidence, detectives identified a phone number used to arrange a meeting with the victim prior to the incident as being associated with Chacon Martinez. Additional investigation, including open-source data leads from Social Media accounts and additional camera footage, further linked Chacon Martinez as the suspect. Based on the evidence recovered, warrants were obtained for Rape, Abduction with Intent to Defile and Forcible Sodomy.

On Dec. 5, Detectives from our Fugitive Track and Apprehension arrested Chacon Martinez on the active warrants and he is currently being held on no bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

Chacon Martinez was charged with Rape, Forcible Sodomy, and Abduction with the Intent to Defile. He is currently being held in the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center on no bond.

Detectives Seeking McLean Rape Suspect

McLean Police District – Detectives are investigating a sexual assault that occurred on Sept. 16 at 6:40 p.m. at the Quarry Inn located at 7179 Lee Highway in Mosby. The adult female victim was at the hotel waiting for food delivery when she heard a knock at the door. When she opened the door, the suspect held the victim at knife point and entered her hotel room. The suspect then sexually assaulted her. The victim was able to escape the room and call 911. The victim was treated for injuries not considered life-threatening. Officers and detectives immediately began canvasing for leads.

Officers discovered surveillance footage of the suspect walking near the scene. Still images of the suspect were collected, which can be seen below. The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his 20’s, thin with acne or scars on his face.
