Tommy's Express is planning new car washes in Grand Blanc Township, Mt. Morris Township, Midland and Bay City.
MID-MICHIGAN (WJRT) - Drivers will have new places to keep their vehicles clean around Mid-Michigan with four new Tommy's Express car washes in the works.
The fast-growing national car wash brand is working on two new locations in Genesee County, one in Midland and another in Bay City.
Construction is under way on a Tommy's Express location at 5661 S. Saginaw Road in Grand Blanc Township. That's near the Dort Highway intersection.
Another location is planned at 5280 W. Pierson Road in Mt. Morris Township near Home Depot. The Bay City location is planned at 3741 Wilder Road near Walmart while the Midland location is planned at 1303 S. Saginaw Road.
Tommy's Express opened locations on Miller Road in Flint Township and on State Street in Saginaw Township last year.
Construction has started on the new Grand Blanc and Midland car washes, which are scheduled to open in early 2025. Tommy's Express didn't say when the Mt. Morris Township or Bay City locations will open.
Tommy's Express car washes are known for their floor-to-ceiling windows and transparent roof that offer an open environment for customers. Each location moves vehicles through the wash tunnel in about three minutes.
Tommy's Express locations also have floor mat washers and vacuums.

The Holland, Mich.-based company offers a variety of unlimited wash memberships powered by license plate readers, so customers can move through their wash without talking to an employee.
