We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Brit Grosenick. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Brit below.
I had been in the Milwaukee event industry for over a decade when I purchased my first cotton candy machine. One of the event planners in the city heard that I had recently gotten the machine and reached out to create cotton candy champagne toppers for a baby shower. I was officially in business! Seeing my product in pictures from that event made my heart so full. I knew then that I wanted to keep making celebrations more magical through cotton candy—and beyond! cotton candy champagne
My name is Brit Grosenick, Owner and Happiness Enthusiast. I have both a culinary and event sales/management background. In 2005, I graduated from WCTC with an Associate’s degree in Culinary Management, specializing in pastries. Over the years, my passion for genuine human interaction shifted my focus to the front of the house, where I have worked in event sales and management for over a decade.
At Happy Joy Candy Co., our goal is to elevate your event with a little fun and magic. We bring energy, enthusiasm, and event expertise, along with our cotton candy and nostalgic products, to create a truly memorable experience for you and your guests!
We offer many options to enhance your event: onsite cotton candy spinning with fun toppings such as Pop Rocks, edible glitter, and rainbow sprinkles; homemade marshmallows at our gourmet s’mores station; cotton candy cocktail toppers; beverage glitter bombs; marshmallow glitter bombs; cotton candy cakes; custom lollipops; and more to come!
No matter the size of your event, we’ll bring our positivity, professionalism, and creativity to ensure your next soiree is oh-so-special!
I think the hugest lesson I needed to unlearn was the need for a traditional career trajectory. I never thought in my wildest dreams that my side business could turn into something bigger. Career growth and getting to the next level within a company were how I had always seen my professional development evolving. Now I am in control of my entire future, which is so exciting (and also a little terrifying). If I could tell the 2003 version of Brit enrolling in culinary school that eventually, we would have our own candy/event business, I know she would be so excited!! Dream big, because we only live this life once!!
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of building strong professional relationships and lasting friendships with meeting planners, event professionals, venue managers, and fellow small business owners. I take great pride in my strong work ethic and enthusiasm, always showing up to events ready to pitch in wherever I can. After all, we’re all working together toward the common goal of creating a successful event!
The recommendations and support from these incredible contacts were instrumental in the launch of Happy Joy Candy Co., and they continue to be a driving force behind the growth of my business. I’m truly grateful for the unwavering support I’ve received while scaling Happy Joy and look forward to what’s next!
