Review: Genaray 60W Square 1x1 LED Light - Photofocus

The Genaray 60 Watt Square LED light can work well as a single studio light. But I think the best use would be as a fill or rim light when paired with the Genaray 120W Twin light. Check out my review on that light.

I’m all in for this light as a videographer’s friend. Beautiful light. I only recommend these two lights for stills photographers if they have a studio set for commercial product or head-shot portrait business. 60w led street light

This is a great studio fill light for video interviews. Adding a battery makes it a solid location light if you are working with a crew and want gorgeous light while being out of the weather. You need the crew because of the weight of the light and you’ll need a solid support stand as well. The white cover over the 896 LEDS is perfect for spreading the light very nicely.

The light can be used as a single light for stills photography in the studio as long as your subject is not moving. The shape and form of the light is flattering and useful. Even better I see this as a great fill light as I mentioned when paired with the Genaray 120W Twin light.

With no specific carrying case to protect this light I recommend keeping the box in which this is packed and shipped. It’s a pretty strong box with a built in carry handle. The packing materials for keeping things in place are stronger than normal and you should end up OK if you are not traveling and unpacking/packing as a matter of course.

I have two different ratings for this light. Four and a Half stars for use in video. I’ll go three and a half stars for stills photography. While I think there are some good uses I don’t think a stills photographer would get as much use out of this light unless he/she was using it for a specific commercial or business portrait set that would be used a lot.
