Plastics and pipe industry veteran joins Lane in newly created role.
Tony Radoszewski, who headed the Plastics Pipe Institute and the Plastics Industry Association, has joined Lane Enterprises Inc., Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, as senior vice president marketing and communications. Lane is reportedly the nation’s second largest producer of both corrugated steel and corrugated plastic pipe.
In his new role, Radoszewski will lead Lane’s efforts to broaden market opportunities in numerous civil infrastructure applications. A veteran of the pipe industry, he brings more than 40 years of leadership experience in sales, marketing, business development and executive management to the company.
“Tony has extensive knowledge of the pipe industry as well as strong leadership abilities that will help take our company to the next level,” says Patrick X. Collings, president and CEO of Lane. “The country’s failing water infrastructure is in desperate need of repair, and Lane’s vast product line has been proven to provide long-term, safe and cost-effective solutions. Tony, with his excellent marketing, communications and creative skills, will enable our company to carry that beneficial message forward.”
Radoszewski, who holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, began his career at Phillips 66 Company/Phillips Driscopipe (now part of the Performance Pipe Division of Chevron Phillips Chemical Company).
Following his 15 years with Phillips, Radoszewski became the director of marketing and business development for Advanced Drainage Systems Inc. where he was responsible for the development of all aspects of the company’s global marketing plan, a position he held before being named president of Wentworth Group International, a business-to-business marketing firm specializing in market and product development for industrial/manufacturing clients.
In 2006, Radoszewski was named president of the Plastics Pipe Institute, the largest plastic pipe trade association in North America. While there, he performed the role of principal spokesman and chief advocate to enhance its industry profile and foster a positive public image of the industry both domestically and internationally. Leading an intense focus on rebuilding the association’s brand, public relations, marketing, membership and purpose, the group added members and was recognized as the “Voice of an Industry.”
In 2019, Radoszewski was named president and CEO of PLASTICS. During his tenure, the association implemented its first-ever, three-year strategic plan which led to identifying, developing and executing strategic initiatives focusing on advocacy, communications, member engagement, education and sustainability.
“I am grateful for this opportunity to play a role in advancing this nearly 100-year-old company,” Radoszewski says. “Lane’s core beliefs and adherence to the highest standards for clients, partners and employees is keenly instrumental to its current and future success. I’m excited to be a part of this team.”
There have been many attempts to provide twin-screw-like mixing in singles, but except at very limited outputs none have been adequate. The odds of future success are long due to the inherent differences in the equipment types.
Extruder screws and barrels will wear over time. If you are seeing a reduction in specific rate and higher discharge temperatures, wear is the likely culprit.
There’s a simple answer: Because all plastics are not the same.
