Without access to the countless options of workout equipment available at public gyms, we’re limited to making it work with what we have at home.
For those who indulge in at-home workouts, you probably only have one basic piece of equipment at your disposal: standard dumbbells. While these tend to get the job done, there’s only so much they can do.
In an effort to expand your equipment options (without breaking the bank) and extend the possibilities of your free weights, Kettle Gryp designed a holder with a built-in clamp that turns your dumbbells into kettlebells.
While the kettlebells vs. dumbbells debate has been ongoing for as long as gyms have existed, the truth of the matter is that you don’t have to choose one over the other with this genius product.
Available on Amazon for just $35, Kettle Gryp is described as “the perfect workout accessory.” Weighing less than one pound, the sturdy and robustly made device can hold most standard dumbbells up to 55 pounds, instantly turning them into kettlebells.
The Kettle Gryp is not only a seamless way to switch up your at-home workouts without taking up additional space with equipment, but it’s also financially sound. Standard kettlebells, like this 44-pound option from Dick’s Sporting Goods, usually retail for around $80 each. The Kettle Gryp not only costs less than half of this, but it also allows users to customize weight capacities and not be confined to only one.
Using the Kettle Gryp also couldn’t be easier thanks to its simple three-step assembly process. First, open the product’s handles and place the dumbbell on the foam insert. Once that’s in place, close the handles around the dumbbell, snap the latch closed and enjoy your workout.
So, what are shoppers saying about this product? Based on its overall customer rating of 4.6 stars, they firmly approve. In fact, over 900 customers are gushing about its performance and durability.
One shopper who admits to “rarely” ever feeling compelled to write reviews, took to Amazon to share that the Kelly Gryp has left them “exceptionally delighted.”
“This simple tool converts my already awesome dumbbells into the perfect weight ‘kettlebell’ I need,” the shopper wrote. “The handle perfectly fits the width of both my hands and the grip around the dumbbell is snug enough it’s not slipping around the weight and holds firm.”
A second shopper shared that this “outstanding home gym addition” saves “lots of money,” and added that they opted for this in place off purchasing standard kettlebells.
“I was originally looking to add to my home gym with kettlebells, but came across this product,” the shopper wrote. “It has worked perfectly and is very durable. Another big plus is this product is made in USA from an American seller.”
One minor con shoppers have outlined for the product is that it only holds a maximum weight of 55 pounds, posing a limitation for some heavy-duty users. However, shoppers have not dubbed this as a dealbreaker for purchasing the Kettle Gryp.
