LC5 combination tube and sheet laser
BLM GROUP USA, Novi, Mich., has installed its LC5 combination tube and sheet laser at Fast Trak Metal Fabrication. The contract manufacturer, located in Fresno, Calif., doubled its footprint to 52,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space and has reduced processing time by 50% with the new 10-kW hybrid machine compared to its existing 4-kW CO2 machines, the company states. Fast Trak now has the capacity to cut tube, pipe, and plate up to 1-1/8 in. for steel; 1-1/2 in. for stainless steel; and 1-3/8 in. aluminum. It also has expanded its customer base with laser tube cutting service to the automotive aftermarket and agriculture industries.
