Oath Nutrition Clear Whey Protein Mix Review - FeedTheHabit.com

Like most athletes, protein powders are a staple in my recovery routine. After a long ride or trail run, I typically mix up a serving of vanilla protein powder to speed up muscle recovery. Mixed with milk, it does have a shake-like taste, which isn’t always desired. Oath Nutrition is out to change the monotony of chocolate or vanilla protein mixes with their new clear whey protein mixes.

Oath Nutrition Clear Whey Protein Mix Details: peptide for skin

From the outset, I was surprised to see 20g of whey protein with such fruity flavors. We’re all so familiar with the traditional protein mixes these days, that we all just accept vanilla or chocolate (with occasional other flavors). While I’m honestly the type of person who would eat cardboard, if it had nutritional value. With Oath Nutrition’s clear whey protein mixes on the scene, it has been a refreshing way to recover from hard efforts and it’s been difficult to keep my kid’s hands off of it.

“Clear whey is a whey protein isolate that has undergone an ultra-filtration process to lower its pH values and viscosity. This process increases the overall clarity of the protein while creating a light, neutral-tasting base well-suited for crafting a variety of flavors. And like all whey proteins, it delivers superior bioavailability and absorption rates to help maximize protein synthesis and muscle recovery.”

I’ve been testing out the Island Mango flavor and to me, it tastes like a creamsicle (so good). The light, fruity flavor is absolutely refreshing and goest down smooth and easy. As mentioned, my active kids have caught onto this mix and it has gone much faster than imagined because it tastes so amazing! Picky teenagers love it and so do middle-aged athletes like me — it’s that good.

While I have mixed it primarily with cold water, I have also mixed it with almond milk (which isn’t too bad). Oath is keen on having you try your own mixes to figure out what works best for you as a recovery drink or whenever you need a little extra protein.

For the most part, I just drop it into a bike bottle, fill it about 3/4 full and shake it up. As you can see, it does get foamy and creamy at the top, but the powder mixes up in a jiffy. If yo shake vigorously enough, there’s no need for a blender bottle or whisk. It’s so light-tasting that it’s also easy to swallow. In fact, the other day, while visiting with an elderly neighbor who has been ill, I suggested he try it and brought over enough for him to mix up and see what he thinks. I’m always excited to share things that work for me and I hope he can use it to recover from some significant health issues in the past few months.

I do my best to dig into various sports nutrition and have a wide variety of mixes and gels to choose from, but I’m by no means an expert in sports nutrition. What I can say is this stuff tastes really good and clear whey protein is proven to help aid recovery and build lean muscle and I’m good with that. I have really loved mixing this clear whey protein into my post-ride routine. Other powders may have more protein, but this remains unique in flavor and texture, which opens up opportunities for people who may not like other protein mixes.

It's hard to imagine a better-tasting and more refreshing way to get 20g of protein after a hard workout. The Island Mango flavor of Oath Nutrition Clear Whey Protein hits the spot and has been hard to keep out of the BlenderBottles of our active teenagers.
