Stackpole is offering 0.01% 2ppm/°C precision surface-mount resistors in sizes from 0402 to 2512 (1 x 0.5mm to 6.3 x 3.1mm). Self Inductance Of A Coil

Part of its RNCF range, these highest spec parts don’t come in the wide value range of lesser RNCF resistors.

For example: 0402 types are available between 49.9Ω and 4.99kΩ, then 2512 has the widest span of options,  between 24.9Ω and 100kΩ.

Depending on size, maximum ratings are 100mW and 50V (0402) to 500mW 150V (2512) – power ratings are at 70°C, after which linear derating is needed to 0W at 155°C.

To specify the parts, an example 0805 size 4.7kΩ resistor would have the part number RNCF0805TxW4K75, where T=0.01% and W=2ppm/°C.

“The nichrome technology of the RNCF provides exceptional stability and reliability with very little resistance shift under normal load life and short time overload conditions,” according to Stanckpole. “In addition, the RNCF is REACH compliant, RoHS compliant and fully lead free without exemption.”

Applications are expected in medical equipment, instrumentation, test equipment and precision controls, but automotive use is also possible as the resistors are AEC-Q200 qualified.

Stackpole Electronics is headquartered in North Carolina. It has facilities in Japan, Taiwan, China, the US and Mexico.
