ADAMS, Wis. (WSAW) - The Adams County Sheriff’s Office is wondering who stole a pipe weighing up to 800 pounds.

Investigators said the large-diameter steel pipe was stolen from the 2900 Block of West 14th Lane in the town of Easton. The pipe weighs approximately 600-800 lbs. i beam ipe ipeaa ipeaaaa

Adams County Sheriff Deputy Thomas Murphy said the pipe is actually a 500-gallon propane tank with the rounded ends cut off.

He said the pipe was reported stolen yesterday, but it was taken in early November. He added they are looking for a brown or tan, two-door pickup truck with a flat trailer and a skid steer were likely used in the theft.

“I would suspect somebody still has them though because the scrap yards haven’t seen anything like this and said propane tanks they would definitely recognize and remember if they came through,” he said.

If you have any information regarding this theft, please contact Deputy Murphy, reference case #25-0035. Or call Crime Stoppers at 877-524-5846.
