SEMO classes delayed due to power outage on main campus

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - Southeast Missouri State University classes will start later on Monday morning after a power outage on the main campus.

The delayed start includes the main campus, River Campus and regional campuses. 330 kva transformer

According to the university, classes starting before noon on Monday, October 14 will be canceled. Classes that begin at noon or later are scheduled to take place.

Campus offices will open at noon.

According to a message sent to students early on Monday morning, the main campus lost power due to an issue with a transformer.

University leaders say facilities management is on site.

They did not have an estimate of the length of the outage.
