Swiss bicycle components manufacturer, Fair Bicycle, has announced a new offset saddle clamp that is compatible with almost all seat posts with vertical mounting bolts. Mounting directly to the top of a given seat post, the Drop Best UC (Universally Compatible) allows for a negative or positive offset, giving riders the opportunity to effectively steepen or slacken the seat tube angle to achieve a more comfortable or more aero seated pedaling position.
The Drop Best UC Road is an evolution of the original Drop Best for mountain bikes, solely compatible with the RockShox Reverb line of dropper seat posts. Now, the Drop Best UC is available in a road version. That means riders of proprietary seat posts now have more options to improve the overall fit of their bike, or even achieve a more aggressive, aerodynamic position that they might want to assume for a time trial.

In the case of the Colnago bikes, a special M8 bolt is required for proper fitment. Customers are asked to contact Fair Bicycle to ensure that the correct bolt will be supplied.
If your bike is not on this list, you can call Fair Bicycle to discuss compatibility. Or, should you have access to a 3D printer, you can download an .stl file from the Fair Bicycle website to 3D print a sample of the offset clamp and check the fitment yourself.
The Drop Best Road retails at $152 USD / $207 CAD / 120 GBP / 140 EUR / 134 CHF and is available directly from Fair Bicycle now. The maximum rider weight limit is determined by the maximum weight limit of the post it is to be mounted to. Clamps are sold with a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. Fair Bicycle will also offer Individual crash replacement solutions at cost plus handling expenses.
