In ongoing efforts to provide accessible services to every Albuquerque citizen and promote responsible pet ownership, Animal Welfare Department (AWD) will continue to offer FREE microchipping and pet tags for dogs and cats through July 31, from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Westside and Eastside shelters. No appointment is needed.
You must be at least 18 years old and have a valid ID to microchip your pets. The microchip will be registered to the ID holder. Information you provide at the time of microchipping will be the guide to finding you if the animal is ever lost or recovered. cat name
It is essential to ensure that the details linked to your pet’s microchip remain up-to-date so the pet can be successfully identified. AWD’s shelter provides all-year-round free service to update pet owners microchips.
