Resource Label Group (RLG), a provider of label and packaging solutions, has announced the acquisition of Labelcraft, a North American manufacturer of custom printed labels.

The financial terms of the deal were not revealed.

Labelcraft, with operations in Toronto, Canada, and Dallas, Texas, marks the 31st acquisition for Resource Label Group.

Established in 1967, Labelcraft specialises in producing custom pressure-sensitive labels, eco-friendly stickers, decals, temporary tattoos, and various other products.

In the year 2017, Labelcraft introduced the Enviroliner, a patented 100% recyclable label release liner. Since then, the company is said to have made considerable capital investments to enhance its capacity and broaden its sustainable label portfolio.

Labelcraft CEO and owner Brian Tomlinson said: “Sustainability is a key part of the Labelcraft culture and is critically important to our customers. We have a long history of delivering innovative sustainable solutions to our customers.

“We chose to partner with Resource Label Group because they share our commitment to protecting the environment and desire to expand these solutions to a wider variety of customers.”

Headquartered in Franklin, Tennessee, Resource Label Group offers a diverse variety of products. These include pressure-sensitive labels, shrink sleeves, flexible packaging, radio frequency identification/near field communication (RFID/NFC) technology, sustainable product solutions, scent activation technology, industrial solutions, healthcare packaging, and fulfillment services.

Resource Label Group president and CEO Mike Apperson said: “We are proud to welcome the talented team at Labelcraft to the RLG family. Both RLG and Labelcraft share a commitment to providing industry leading sustainable packaging solutions.

“Together, we will continue to strengthen and expand our product offering to help customers achieve their sustainability goals.”

Last month, Resource Label Group established RLG Healthcare, a dedicated division focused on speciality pharmaceutical and healthcare packaging. RLG Healthcare is committed to delivering comprehensive packaging solutions tailored for the healthcare industry, encompassing labels, cartons, inserts, medical guides, and physician support literature.
