Sara Davies is the queen of crafting, and she always impresses us with her stunning handmade decorations for her home – like this gorgeous butterfly garland she made using a die cutting machine.
The Ultimate Wedding Planner judge took to her Instagram to show off her latest craft idea: a beautiful butterfly garland which she hung in her home.
Sara used a die cutting machine to make the garland. A die cutting machine uses metal dies or blades to cut shapes out of card, fabric and other materials. If you'd like to get into this fun craft, check out our beginner's guide to die cutting.
For her project, Sara cut butterfly shapes out of card using a die cutting machine from her craft company Crafter's Companion. She painted them and layered to make 3D butterflies, which she strung together into a garland.
Sara finished the video by hanging the garland up in her home, over the doors into her sons' playroom.
Alongside the video, Sara wrote in the caption: "I love die-cutting, and I especially love die cutting butterflies and I thought we’d try something a bit different to a card but still in the Papercraft realm"
You can buy the die cutting machine Sara used for her project from her online shop Crafter's Companion. It comes in a mini version for £29.99 or a midi version, which is currently reduced from £69.99 to £62.99.
