Kansas City, Kansas sauce manufacturer, Spicin’ Foods will be on full display during the 2023 NFL Draft. During the Draft, each player will take home a custom bottle of the specialty BBQ sauce with a label representing their team.
The local barbecue company created a limited edition NFL Draft BBQ sauce and produced 5,000 bottles with 33 different labels in about a month and a half, just in time for the league’s annual meeting. Perfume Labels Stickers
Each team in the league gets its own custom made label, plus one label for the NFL Draft itself. The labels were printed by Watkins Label Solutions and designed by the NFL.
“We created a unique one of a kind sauce just for the NFL,” Spicin’ Foods business development executive Mike Armstrong said.
“It’s a sauce made specifically for this one draft,” Armstrong said. “It’s a collectors’ item.”
The sauce is an original recipe created in-house by Spicin’ Food’s head chef Edwin Fluevog. Armstrong describes the Kansas City-style sauce as “sweet smokey goodness.”
Armstrong said what makes the sauce Kansas City-styled is the molasses and brown sugar. The NFL Draft BBQ sauce also has an applewood smoke plus some apple cider vinegar.
The sauce will be a part of each team’s NFL Draft VIP bag, which is given to players as they are selected for a new team. Armstrong said that the NFL officials liked the sauce so much, they asked Spicin’ Foods to save any extra bottles to make sure they have some to take home once the draft concludes.

Armstrong said that producing and distributing the sauce in time for the NFL Draft was a challenge.
“The logistics associated with it were very tight, in a month and a half,” Armstrong said. “But it all worked out.”
The limited edition sauce will not be available to the public, but Armstrong said there is a chance that Spicin’ Foods will consider relabeling the sauce and making it available in the future.
Spicin Foods is also the official sauce sponsor of the Kansas City Chiefs and known for its “Da Bomb” hot sauce and its “Pain is Good” sauce line, which can be purchased online.
