Cat Owner Left Feeling 'So Bad' After Attempt To Treat Pet Backfires - Newsweek

Social media users could empathize with an owner who was trying to offer her cat a treat, but her efforts backfired—hilariously.

A cat mom of three kits wanted to give her pet a little treat of some spray cheese, but she pressed the canister's button too hard, leaving the product all over her Norwegian forest cat's face. Cat Food Factory

Mieux Mango (@mieux.mango) shared the hysterical footage of snack time after she managed to let out a bite size piece for one of her cats, but another of her other pets, LaFleur, ended up covered in cheese.

In the video, which has amassed 1,459,075 likes and 21.8 million views, the cat mom shared a warning to other pet owners not to press down too hard on the bottle.

Newsweek has reached out to @mieuxmango for comment via Instagram.

A post shared by LaFleur, Ben, & Egg (@mieux.mango)

She shared on Instagram: "I was just trying to show that cats can have spray cheese as a treat and they like it, when I messed up...

"Y'all I felt SO BAD, I pressed too hard on the cheese knob thing. I was trying to spray a little for her to lick off of it."

The first cat, Ben, successfully indulged in the squeezy cheese, but the second cat, LaFleur, who was relaxing on a blanket did not enjoy the same gastronomical experience.

The owner went to squeeze some cheese out of the bottle, when it sprayed all over the gray and white kit.

Next, LaFleur had to go in the bath, but she did not seem too phased by the incident, and stayed in the tub after the cheese had been cleaned off.

Her owner said off camera: "You want to get out? You don't have to stay in there, you're cheese-free now."

Mieux Mango owns three cats: LaFleur, Ben, a tortico cat, and Egg, a ragamuffin, who is not yet 1.

Many pet owners are unaware that liquid cheese can be used as a tasty snack for felines. Vets even keep it in their cupboards to help mask the smell of medicine or distract scared animals when they are being vaccinated.

Commenters were hysterical by the owner's reaction as the cheese exploded as she shrieked: "No! Meow meow."

Some shared similar moments they had with their pets.

One user said: "I literally tripped on my doorway this morning and dropped my oatmeal on my cat and she was covered in banana slices.

"Super funny, but I felt so bad."

Another commented: "My girlfriend grated cheese on her dog's head 'cause she couldn't see over the kitchen counter and he ran around with it in his fur 'cause he thought we were playing a game.

"He could smell cheese and he didn't know where it was coming from."
