In a 2019 interview with People, Boyle opened up about what she loves so much about performing. “I’m in my own little bubble on the stage, conveying a story and it really is my happy place,” she told the outlet. “I get great enjoyment making the audience happy. My career has never been about earning money or really even chart positions, I just love to be on stage and singing.”

The song was originally recorded in 1955 by singer Todd Duncan for the film Unchained and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song that year. According to American Songwriter, the lyrics depict a man debating whether or not he should break out of prison in order to see his family.

The Righteous Brothers' version came out in 1965 to massive success, reaching the number-four position on the Billboard Hot 100. According to BBC, it is one of the most recorded songs of the 20th century, being covered by Elvis Presley, Barry Manilow, Roy Orbison, U2, Cyndi Lauper, Phil Collins, Hall and Oates, Kelly Clarkson, Lana Del Rey, Liberace, and more. ''Unchained Melody' was also featured in the famous pottery scene in the 1990 film Ghost.

Woah, my love, my darling I've hungered for your touch A long, lonely time And time goes by so slowly And time can do so much Are you still mine? I need your love I need your love God speed your love to me

Lonely rivers flow To the sea, to the sea To the open arms of the sea, yeah Lonely rivers sigh "Wait for me, wait for me" I'll be coming home, wait for me

Woah, my love, my darling I've hungered, hungered for your touch A long, lonely time And time goes by so slowly And time can do so much Are you still mine? I need your love I need your love God speed your love to me
