With Higher Speed, Precision and Efficiency
New hobbing machine “GE15HS” was developed to target high speed machining mainly for mass production of automobile and motorcycle industries. The high-speed, high-torque direct-drive motor for the main cutting spindle provides a maximum spindle speed of 6,000 min-1, three times faster than previous models. Processing with the use of carbide cutting tools yields a surface roughness of less than Ra0.4, on a par with gear grinding. Further, the GE15HS provides process efficiency, eliminating the finishing process of shaving prior to heat treatment, improving productivity and reducing processing cost. To minimize heat deformation and stable accuracy under continuous & high speed machining, it equips cooling system for main spindle and table, high precision MP scale in radial (X) axis and controls in full closed loop system.

Newly developed chamfering machine in response to the growing need for higher precision chamfering of gears. It is possible to get the high-precision chamfering quality by using cutting tool design simulation and dedicated chamfering cutter that is released at the same time. Secondary burrs are eliminated on both the tooth surface side and the end surface side, achieving excellent finished surface quality. At the venue, machining and automated movements using collaborative robots were demonstrated. You can imagine the appearance introduced in the production line.

Due to the impact of the EV Shift, the need for high precision gear grinding techinology is increasing more and more, such as complex tooth flank shapes and various analyses. Our ZE-C series of gear grinding machines has delivered more than 500 units in and out of Japan since its launch. The VB-X650 is a new 5-axis vertical machining center that will be unveiled for the first time at this JIMTOF. Axis travel (X x Y x Z): 850 x 610 x 510 mm, realizing a minimum floor space of 3235 x 2390 mm. It has a rapid traverse speed of 63m/min, which is the top level in its class. A DD motor is used as standard for driving the table, and the new design minimizes the force loop to improve machining accuracy. The HM-X6100 is a new 5-axis horizontal machining center that will be unveiled for the first time at this year's JIMTOF. After repeated analysis to reduce the weight of the moving object without reducing rigidity, we achieved both stable machining performance with a No. 50 spindle and high-speed performance comparable to that of a No. 40 spindle. By installing our original automatic pallet exchange function (patent pending), the setup position is low and the work can be easily loaded and unloaded. In addition, the daily inspection equipment is concentrated on the operator door side. We pursue machines that are easy to use for any customer. Crasys is a packaged robotic pallet changing system that can be retrofitted to our machining centers. Equipped with 10 pallets with a maximum loading capacity of 10 kg as standard. Robot teaching is not required even if there are various workpiece shapes. A safety laser scanner is installed in the range of motion of the robot, so it can be used without installing a safety fence. An automatic processing area is installed at the edge of the table. Most of the table surface can be used as before. You can improve production efficiency by automatically operating robots during lunch breaks and non-working hours after work. At the venue, it will be installed on the vertical machining center VM53RII and the pallet exchange operation will be exhibited.

VM43RII is a standard machine with a square sliding surface that inherits Nidec OKK's traditional high rigidity. Axis travel (X x Y x Z): 630 x 430 x 460 mm. Table size 800×420mm. A model change was made in 2021, making it stronger and easier to use. Equipped with our environmental thermal displacement correction "Soft Scale Cube" as standard equipment for outstanding accuracy. The machine comes with a high-torque gear spindle (standard) and a wide variety of spindles, such as a 20,000 min-1 MS spindle, are available depending on intended use. "Nidec Navi" is Nidec Machine Tool's original user interface for large machine tools. Complicated machining programs can be created by entering parameters on the "Machining Macro Creation Support" screen. Centering, tool measurement, and workpiece installation range settings for collision prevention can be easily performed, improving operator work efficiency. At the venue, please take a look at the actual screen and try it out!
A new style of automation system that links the touch sensor system with the latest machine vision technology, the TOF camera. Anyone can easily measure a workpiece using a touch sensor. If you specify the measurement position on the 3D model displayed on the tablet, the workpiece is automatically measured. Manual handle operation for centering the workpiece is no longer required. Most of the work will be tablet operation, and the centering work will change to a smart style of "smartphone feeling".
You can check the status of the machine and the progress of processing on your smartphone, even when you are away from home or at home. It also supports the notification function of smartphones, and push notifications are sent to smartphones at the timing of alarm occurrence, power ON/OFF, processing start, and processing completion.
Routine maintenance and inspection of machines is very effective in reducing failures. This function supports daily inspection according to the inspection list. Since the inspection status is recorded as digital data, it can be used for maintenance planning. It is also possible to record photos, etc., and it is expected that failure signs will be converted into data.
Using a tablet, display the NC program on the machine side and the list of programs in the personal computer. Programs can be easily changed without going to the machine.
