Telpo has introduced a new biometric face recognition terminal to provide physical access control to businesses and government organizations, according to a company announcement.
The TPS980 supports Android 7.1 and Linux operating systems and runs on a dual-core 1.8 GHz plus quad-core 1.4 GHz processor, with an 8-inch HD screen. Customers can choose from single-lens, dual-lens, and 3D depth sensing cameras, and standing or wall-mounted deployments. Mifare Reader
The new facial recognition access control solution complies with ISO14443 type A/B, Mifare, ISO18092, EMV Contactless L1, Paywave, and Paypass contactless card reader standards. It includes Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and optional LTE connectivity, and operates in temperatures from below freezing to 45 degrees Celsius (113 Fahrenheit).
The processing capabilities of the TPS980 limit the effect facial expression, lighting, and input equipment on the matching process, and the system also stores access records for convenient query and supervision functions.
Telpo recently showcased its range of biometric retail POS machines at the Asean Retail show in Bangkok.
