A well-designed bedroom has the power to spark joy and put you at ease. Ideally, it should also be filled with decor that reflects your personality and lifestyle. But, with so many colors, patterns and layouts to choose from, where should you start? To help you out, we've rounded up beautiful bedroom ideas to inspire a makeover — even if your setup is small.

Design a colorful space that showcases your personality, whether it's with patterned wallpaper, bright bedding or funky furniture. "Eclectic interiors have a way of instantly feeling comforting. That could either be through color or interesting pieces within a home," says Sarah Storms of Styled by Storms.

Make the most of natural light by painting the walls and a ceiling a bright white shade. Take note from Rebel Builder and layer in organic textures like fabric Roman shades, a wicker chandler and woven ottomans at the foot of the bed.
Create a monochrome moment by painting the entire room a deep shade — designer Brooke Dailey went with Benjamin Moore's Narragansett Green. A high-shine finish adds drama and intrigue.
Don't forget about the fifth wall! Design a dreamy escape by applying cloudy wallpaper on the ceiling, which Sarah Cain Design expertly pairs with a vintage-inspired candelabra chandelier.
You don't need color to create visual interest. From a rustic wood bed frame to a nature-inspired wallpaper, designer Amy Zee Haight infuses visual interest with organic texture.
Designers agree: Eclectic interiors are trending for 2025. This small bedroom, designed by Jackie Terrell, is defined by a unique gallery wall and bold black-and-white bedding.
Swap bedside table lamps for beautiful pendants, which is exactly what designer Isabel Stover of Design Vision Interiors does in this peaceful bedroom. Our advice? Hang the fixtures at least two feet above the nightstand's surface.
Encompass your bed with decorative drapes, creating the option for seclusion when the curtains are drawn. This vintage style makes this small room feel larger and more elegant.
Botanical Schumacher fabric and avant-garde art shine in this spirited bedroom. "The design is full of organic movement and joy," says designer Corine Maggio of CM Natural Designs.
An angled roof can easily become a design opportunity. Finished in Sherwin-Williams's Pure White, this one has two elements of surprise: a compact bookshelf and an understated pendant light. "A-frames have a lot of dead space, and finding ways to make these spaces useful is super rewarding," says designer Amy Pigliacampo.
Draw the eye up — and temper busy wallpaper — by installing vertical shiplap three-quarters of the way up a wall, suggests designer Janna McCalley.
Cool and calming, sage green is a perfect hue for bedrooms seeking a subtle pop of color. From the curvy bed frame to luxe drapery, design firm Daley Home lets the earthy shade define this serene bedroom.
This Moroccan desert-inspired guest room by designer Michelle Boudreau exudes tropical flair thanks to Marrakesh wallpaper and brass palm pendant lights. "This room is full of character, warmth and personality," she says.
A classic print is all it takes to mask this sloped ceiling. Take a cue from designer Paloma Contreras, who says she chose to "fully tent the bedroom in a striped wallpaper, which makes the ceiling disappear into the rest of the room."

Take a risk with dark shades, whether it's bedding, furniture or paint colors. Sherwin-Williams’s Web Gray in a flat finish completes this restful space, designed by Candace Shure. "The richness was exactly what the room needed to create that moody vibe," Shure says.

Create a designated spot for cuddling up with a good read, like this striped armchair sitting in the corner. To complete this cozy bedroom, designer Nellie Howard Ossi brings in soothing cool tones, like green and blue patterned curtains and floral bedding.
