Being half Danish, I often find myself drawn to a Scandinavian aesthetic. I love these generously proportioned Danish armchairs, brought bang up to date by this bouclé fabric. I’m a bit of a magpie for vintage glassware, especially Murano and cut crystal – I’d display this carafe and shot glass set on a drinks tray on a shelf in my living room. Finally, I love this art-deco chandelier – the way light permeates alabaster is beautiful. You can always rely on Vinterior for great lighting. Pendant Light Fitting

I’ve recently reshuffled our flat’s furniture, so I’m on the hunt for a coffee table. I’m torn between this pretty brown one covered in patterned tiles, or tapping into the stainless-steel trend with this low-slung option – perhaps matched with this striking chrome floor lamp I spotted on Scene By Chloe. Another lamp I love is this Memphis-style multicoloured light from Italy, found at 8 Holland Street, an antiques shop I rate in Bath. Finally, Studio HÁM always has great one-off artwork, and this pink Brutus painting brings a smile to my face.

I love mixing old and new in my home – antiques help anchor a space, so this pair of bedside tables might make an appearance in my guest room any day now. When it comes to art, I find simple is easiest to live with and this watercolour ticks all the boxes. My favourite find, however, has to be these bar stools – they feel so contemporary but would still add plenty of character to a kitchen around an island.

I love large abstract oil paintings in pastel colours, which is why I had to include this piece by Frances Gaspari. The burst of zesty lemon-yellow lifts the entire piece, and I can imagine it looking great against a blue wall in a living room, or even in a kitchen as a real statement. The trinket tray from 1st Dibs is another favourite – it would look so chic in a dressing room or by a bed, and of course it’s so useful for storing jewellery. Finally, well-thought-out lighting can really make a scheme, and this pair of white and gold wall or table lights will add a considered point of interest to a kitchen or bedroom.
