AMSTERDAM - Dutch engineering and R&D company Dye-FF claims to have invented a solution for waterless, low-carbon footprint fabric scouring, using compressed carbon dioxide (CO2) as a non-toxic solvent.

Dye-FF founder Martijn van der Kraan has applied for a patent for his invention in which polyester or polyester-spandex blends are perfused by compressed CO2 which dissolves and carries away knitting and spinning oil from the fibres. Transparent Blue Gp
