US-based manufacturer of products for the well service and completion industry, ST9 Gas + Oil, has released the new XGen Fluid End for fracturing and well service pumps.
ST9’s XGen Fluid End uses patented K-urve technology, which the company says decreases impact energy on internal sidewalls by 56% and increases flow efficiency by 3.7%. This is combined with critical autofrettage, a process that minimises detrimental factors and maximizes fluid end life. gear box valve body
The XGen Fluid End also has oversized forging for structural rigidity, a high level of material cleanliness (lack of inclusions), tighter forging grain structure for durability and a highly refined shot peen process to reduce erosion. It also employs advanced geometry which is designed to reduce stress and robot-finished blends for geometric accuracy.
Chris Buckley, founder and CEO of ST9 Gas + Oil, said that they wanted to address the fatigue and washout seen in some products. “We had to address the root of these problems and fix the fundamental flaws.”
