The NeXLIM is the next generation of the popular XLIM line. It may be OXVA’s most substantial pod vape to date, featuring a 1500 mAh battery, customizable themes, a 0.85-inch TFT screen, and a 40-watt output. It also includes a new series of dual-mesh pods that hold 4 mL of e-liquid. Available in 12 colorways.
Last year, I was fortunate to have my first OXVA pod experience with the XLIM Pro 2. I’d previously heard good things about the series but was still shocked by the incredible performance. Since then, I’ve been anxiously awaiting the arrival of a V3. Well, it seems the wait is over. The OXVA NeXLIM may not be the official V3, but it might as well be. Although it introduces a new line of pods, it builds upon everything that made the XLIM Pro series so special.
What’s new with the NeXLIM? Essentially, everything is bigger and better. It features a 1500 mAh battery, 4 mL e-liquid capacity, dual mesh coils, 40 watts of power, and a 0.85-inch color screen. Yes, the device is larger and heavier due to these upgrades, but it’s still sleek and pocket-friendly.
At the risk of spoiling the review, this was a rare case where I had to dig deep to find major cons. The device is damn near perfect. Is it the best pod vape I’ve ever used? It’s certainly near the top of the pile; however, it has one drawback that may impact some users. Keep reading to learn more.

If you have experience with the XLIM Pro 2, there won’t be any surprises here. The design, hand feel, and construction of the NeXLIM are all incredibly similar (that’s a good thing!) It’s clearly part of the same family, although roughly 25% larger than its predecessor. Still, neither the size nor weight feels burdensome (this isn’t a chunky pod vape like the VPRIME).
The robust zinc alloy chassis of the NeXLIM is complemented by front and back panels, which come in a wide variety of colors, materials, textures, and patterns. There’s something for everyone here! I’m partial to the wavy IML panels, but the rubber and carbon fiber versions also look great.
The upgraded 0.85-inch color screen is also impressive, boasting the vibrant colors I’ve become accustomed to from OXVA. It displays the same info as the Pro 2 (wattage, resistance, battery percentage, and five-digit puff counter), but it’s more refined, and some of the fonts are larger. It features three changeable menu themes, allowing you to customize the display to your liking:
Is it worth upgrading from the XLIM Pro 2? For some, including myself, absolutely. But it all depends on your needs and preferences. The following highlights the notable differences with the NeXLIM in comparison:
Few manufacturers make it easier to get started than OXVA. Much like their last few products, the NeXLIM includes a simple button guide in the package, which outlines everything you need to know. They’ve also programmed this guide into the device; if you ever forget the click counts, just long-press the button for a quick refresher.
Please note that the NeXLIM is draw-activated only. The button is only used to adjust the settings:
Despite being much larger, the new NeXLIM pods look and function exactly like the XLIM pods. There’s no need to remove the pod from the device to fill; just lift the rubber plug on the side, rotate it out of the way, and top it off.
The airflow adjusts via the slider on the side, ranging from a tight MTL to RDL. Interestingly, the sides of the device are concave, which minimizes the chances of accidentally changing the airflow or pressing the button. It’s a minor but clever upgrade.
Both pods offer a wide output range, suggesting they aren’t exclusive to a specific vaping style. MTL or RDL—take your pick. As a bonus, the BOOST and ECO modes allow you to switch from two very different settings quickly. For example, you could set ECO to 15 watts and BOOST to 30 watts and jump back and forth with just two clicks.
The NeXLIM pods use OXVA’s UniTech 2.0 technology (dual mesh coils), which was also implemented in the VPRIME pods. The VPRIME had phenomenal flavor, so my expectations were high going into this review. Let’s see how these new pods measured up.
0.8-ohm pod (MTL): I tested this pod with a sweet tobacco e-liquid (50/50, freebase nicotine) that I’ve been enjoying over the past few months. I can honestly say that it’s never tasted better. The flavor is, at the very least, equivalent to the previous XLIM pods—if not superior. At the time of writing, it’s gone through about 24 mL of e-liquid, and the performance is still fantastic.
0.6-ohm pod (RDL): Different pod, same story! I filled this one with a fruity menthol flavor (70VG), and it rivaled the performance of some of my favorite RDL pods and atomizers. It’s a highly satisfying vape, comparable to the 0.6-ohm XLIM pods. Again, I can’t confidently say which is better, but I doubt you’ll be disappointed.
Device performance: Overall, the device performs and functions almost perfectly. The only exception is the auto-draw. When taking an RDL inhale with the widest airflow setting, I’ve experienced occasional sputtering from the switch. However, this only occurs with a soft and slow inhale and can be remedied by drawing more assertively. Regardless, the issue magnifies the absence of a firing button, which is a reliable workaround for a sluggish auto-draw switch.
One might assume that the larger battery in the OXVA NeXLIM would result in a longer charge time. Surprisingly, that’s not the case at all. Whereas the XLIM Pro 2’s 1300 mAh battery required a 46-minute charge, the 1500 mAh battery in the NeXLIM only needs 38 minutes. It’s one of the fastest-charging pod vapes I’ve ever used!
I always consider it a pro when the battery percentage shows on the display while charging, and the NeXLIM certainly didn’t let me down. However, it is a theme-dependent feature; the simple theme shows a battery bar instead.
As for battery life, I’ve been going through roughly two fills (7.5-8.5 mL) per charge. For me, that’s usually adequate for a full day of vaping, and even if it weren’t, the lightning-fast charging would have me up and running again in no time.
I’ve got a lot of respect for OXVA. Unlike some manufacturers, they don’t disregard criticism and feedback. Consumer satisfaction seems to be their ultimate goal, which explains why every release is noticeably better than the last. The NeXLIM is evidence of that. They didn’t simply create a bigger XLIM; they improved it and corrected some of its shortcomings.
After spending over a week testing these devices, I could only find one major con: the auto-draw switch. It functions flawlessly with a tight MTL draw but falls short when the airflow slider is fully open. And since there’s no firing button to fall back on, some RDL users may struggle to get a consistent hit.
Regardless, if you’re looking for a reliable, long-lasting, and flavorful MTL pod vape, the NeXLIM is right up there with the best. If OXVA proceeds to build an ecosystem around these pods, I’m 100% on board. They’ve got a great foundation here, so the sky’s the limit.
Highly recommended for MTL vapers.
