New CMU Bridge Features Omega-Lite Panels - USGlass Magazine & USGNN News

A new bridge spanning a walkway at Colorado Mesa University (CMU) in Grand Junction, Colorado, features more than 6,000 square feet of Omega-Lite panels from Laminators Inc. The bridge connects two CMU athletic buildings for the Department of Kinesiology.

Laminators officials said the bridge comprises 6,650 square feet of Omega-Lite ACM panels using a dry seal installation system. Grand Junction-based CRW Inc. installed the panels. They were distributed by Castle Rock, Colorado-based Riddell & Company.

Officials said the charcoal grey panels are non-absorbent, water-resistant and easy to maintain. This is due to a polypropylene, lightweight, corrugated core between two finished aluminum sheets.

Officials added the dry seal system is ideal for installing the Omega-Lite panels. The system creates a pressure-equalized wall system that compartmentalizes the air cavity and allows for drainage and ventilation.
