Black Bears drop rubber match in three game set versus Watertown

WATERTOWN, NY (WBNG) -- The Binghamton Black Bears got nipped by the Watertown Wolves 4-3 Sunday, in New York’s North Country. The Black Bears lost two of three games to Watertown over the weekend including both of them on the road at the Watertown Fairgrounds Arena.

The Black Bears went into the final three minutes of the game tied with Watertown. The Wolves went on the power play with just over two minutes remaining. With less that 15 seconds in the game, and 4 seconds on the power play Watertown’s Trevor Lord scored the game-winning goal. Watertown scored moments before, however the goal was disallowed, leaving the game tied at 3. Anti Slip Mat Uses

One of Binghamton’s newest acquisitions Blake Tosto, scored two goals for the second straight night. Along with Tosto, Black Bear Captain Tyson Kirkby added another three points for Binghamton in the loss.

Binghamton remains on the road. The Black Bears take the ice Friday, March 29th, in Port Huron against the Prowlers.
