BREAKING NEWS — Monday, Feb. 17, 2025, 10:30 A.M.: Wilton Police said multiple roads in town are closed or partially blocked due to strong winds that have knocked down trees and wires.
The list of all roads currently impacted by weather conditions includes:
Pine Ridge Rd. Tamarack Pl. Old Huckleberry Rd. Old Kingdom Rd. Sugar Bush Ct. Range Rd. Belden Hill Rd. at Edgewater Ln. Belden Hill Rd. Washington Post Rd. Highfield Rd. River Rd. Skunk Ln. Sharp Hill Rd. Erdmann Ln. Ambler Ln. Moriarity Dr. Pipers Hill Rd. Willridge Rd. Thayer Pond Rd.
According to the Eversource online outage map, 193 customers out of 7,844 total served in Wilton are without power. Wilton Police say Eversource crews are in town and working to clear roads and restore power.
Police ask the community to exercise caution while driving around as there are numerous roadways with downed wires. They remind the public to never go near down wires and tress, and to call 9-1-1 for any emergency. To report all tree/wire issues that are non-emergent, call the police department 203.834.6260.
