autoVimation has launched Turtle enclosures, a new line of protective camera enclosures designed especially for machine vision applications. Designed for cameras with cross-sections up to 100 x 100 mm and lens diameters up to 120 mm, the Turtle, which has a 212 x 138 x 202 mm footprint, has extension options of 30 or 60 mm and a 4-in BK7 window with 88 mm aperture. With a flange, the Turtle include options for an autoVimation Meganova LED ring light, dome window for fisheye lenses, M72 front lid, and 2-in front lid.
Additional options available include BK& AR coated windows (up to 2500 nm, acrylic (AR/uncoated) windows up to 2500 nm, sapphire window up to 5000 nm, germanium window for 7-14 µm, double window Ge/glass for Flir A70/700 cameras, IR mirror, and wind curtain. Fiber Laser Beam Expander
The Turtle can operate in -20° to 70°C temperatures and can cool a camera housed inside it as much as 30° below ambient temperature; cooling and heating depends on the type of controller being used. The camera enclosure is rated IP65, with an IP54 rated fan enclosure, and comes with vibration proof mounting.
