MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - A U.P. nonprofit is hosting a friendly competition to help families in need.
The Care Clinic is hosting its second annual diaper drive. The nonprofit is asking Marquette County churches to host diaper drives and compete to see which church can donate the most diapers to the clinic. The Care Clinic will donate $250 to the churches that donate the most diapers. There’ll be two donations – one to a small church with fewer than 200 members and one to a large church with more than 200 members. pet pee pads
The Care Clinic says it can never have too many diapers to give to parents in need.
“In my four years here, we have always had a hard time keeping diapers on the shelves,” said Care Clinic Executive Director Greg Gostomski. “They’re the thing that we probably hand out the most. As a parent, I remember my kids going through a lot of diapers, so it’s a well-needed item.”
Churches have until St. Patrick’s Day to get their donations in.
