Kioti introduces the RX40 Series of utility tractors

The RX40 series is a refresh to Kioti’s RX20 Series of tractors.

Kioti has introduced the RX6640 and 7340 to its RX Series of utility tractors, bringing familiar power specifications with new styling. 32 tonne rigid lorry

Despite the visual changes, the loader and tractor largely operate the same as Kioti’s RX20 Series — the new KL7340 loader maintains its mechanical self-leveling function, and the tractors run at the same power as previous models.

“The RX40 Series is a good fit for a farmer working with hay for livestock, but it’s still big enough to do some small tillage work,” says Joel Hicks, product line manager for Kioti. “Somebody could own 20 acres and have this tractor, or own 300 acres and it would still serve a really strong purpose.”

The RX6640 and 7340 are rated for 66 hp and 73 hp, respectively. The 6640 has a maximum speed of almost 22 mph, and low speed travel at just below 1 mph. The 7340 has a maximum speed of 23 mph, and low travel speed around 1 mph. The KL7340 loader has a 133.9-inch maximum lift height to pivot pin, and 3,3384 pound lift capacity at maximum height.

The overall look of the new RX40 Series centers around the sloped, low-profile hood and loader arms, designed for fewer visibility obstructions when operating from the cab. The cab has been opened up with a slightly taller interior height, and the removal of the right side door has also helped remove the sixth pillar on the cab, making for a total of five. This also freed up enough space for Kioti to add an optional instructor seat in the cab. A new sunroof on the cab has been added to help operators to see the loader throughout its full range of motion.

One of the biggest changes on the RX40 Series is the electronic three-point hitch — an upgrade from the mechanical hitch on the RX20 tractors. This enables operators to change settings from inside the cab. A new switch pod in the cab brings all light controls, including for the new LED headlights, and other functions to one convenient location.

The RX40 Series can be purchased with a soft ride kit to dampen bumps in the road when traveling with a heavy load. Customers can also select a third-function kit. Even if customers don’t choose to add the option at first, the RX40 series is pre-wired for third-function, meaning they won’t have to replace the joystick handle to operate.
