SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - Researchers are raising concerns again over teenagers vaping. This time, the focus is on disposable vapes.

A scientific journal from the American Academy of Pediatrics says teens and young adults that use e-cigarettes that are disposable, cheap, and flavored, are more likely to persist in using them. liquido puff

They also say that vaping companies use language that targets teens, popularizing the use of e-cigarettes.

Most throw away vapes contain high concentrations of nicotine salt formation which is highly addictive.

The packaging, colors, and various sweet flavors cater to young adults.

“If you’re a vaping company what you’re going to do is maximize your addictive potential,” said Dr. Kirk Voelker, a pulmonologist at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. “You’re going to make it so that the nicotine is delivered at a higher concentration making it more addictive. If you get it to a teens brain, somebody before their fully developed at 18, they’re more likely to become a nicotine addict for the rest of their lives.”
