Every detail of the dress is a reflection of this devotion and a tribute to the Virgin of Perpetual Socorro. Today in the impulse we announce its meaning.
Protagonist of the work, symbolizes heaven, eternal joy and the glory of God. The mantle, adorned with lilies of San José and an impressive painting of the four saints of the congregation: San Alfonso María de Ligorio, San Juan Neumann, San Clemente María Hofbauer and San Gerardo Mayela, worshiping the Blessed Sacrament and under the care of two Angels Custodians, is a compendium of redemptive spirituality and a reminder: Venezuela is the only nation in the world consecrated to Jesus Eucharist.
It has the morning star and the diamond of heaven at the top of the veil of the perpetual relief icon, framed in Arabesques and lilies. It is the star that brought light to the world in darkness, which guides us in the sea of life to the port of salvation.
They are made of tulle and embroidered in pearls, stones and acetate pieces in gold and silver tones. In the center of the skirt, it highlights a piece of mirror acrylic with the congregation shield framed in a medallion at the foot of the image of San José, which is also exposed in the Redeemer Temple Barquisimetano. In the shield, the instruments of the passion are printed: the spear, the sponge, the nails and the representation of Mount Calvary. The dove on the cross symbolizes the Holy Spirit and the sides appear the abbreviated names of Jesus and Mary.
Made in Rubí red decorated in pearls and crystals blue king, expresses the relationship to the image of the Blessed Redeemer. The color of the robe reminds the world the deep and infinite love of God for all humanity. It also appears in the real clothing, such as those of the kings and high priests, representing the majesty and divine power.
It has three meanings: the first, that I loaded with all the pains, oprobes, mortifications and bitterness of suffering from more approached any man. The second, to remember that their life must be completely heavenly and their thoughts far from the earth, in heaven, and remember the desire I had to suffer on the cross for the salvation of souls. The third reason, to mean that for my sufferings and my cross I joined heaven and earth and made the citizen terrain man of heaven.
In the center you can see a medallion that game with the skirt of the Virgin, details the congregation shield. This attire is accompanied with fine escarminines, prepared by Mrs. Lilia de Moncada.
