Dolphin is made according to a typical scheme for small-scale machines: purchased units and a home-made chassis with a frame-panel body, where the carrier “cell” is welded from steel pipes, and the outer panels are formed from the composites.
The car received a chrome decor, panoramic windshield, paired round headlights, but on the other hand, the proportions of the “Chinese” are not as verified as the original Chevrolet Corvette: the front overhang of excess length, and the sidewalls look too massive. But it must be understood that such forms are predetermined by the layout of the units and the compliance of the body with modern requirements for passive safety.
Dolphin will be produced both with a body convertible with a cloth top, and in the version of a compartment with a hard top. The SS Dolphin is driven by a hybrid gasoline-electrical installation of BYD, built on the basis of a 1.5-liter turbo engine.
