Materials management is nuanced, multifaceted, and requires a holistic systems approach for business success. When building high mix, low volume, and high technology, managing materials and overall cost containment are even greater challenges.
In this month’s issue, we explore additive manufacturing technology for the PCB fabricator: where it stands today, the true benefits, and where it seems to be headed. Custom Printed Circuit Boards
In this issue of PCB007 Magazine, we talk with leading economic experts, advocacy specialists in Washington, D.C., and PCB company leadership to get a well-rounded picture of what’s happening in the industry today. Don’t miss it.
Anaya Vardya, president and CEO of American Standard Circuits, has introduced their new downloadable book. The book, called Fundamentals of Printed Circuit Board Technologies, covers all aspects of printed circuit technologies from the very basic single- and double-sided boards all the way to HDI microvias and flex/rigid-flex printed circuit boards.
When making the announcement, Vardya said, “We want this book to be a much more comprehensive survey of all aspects of printed circuit board technology. We started with an exclusive arrangement with the authors of The PCB 101 Handbook, Robert Tarzwell and Dan Beaulieu, and together we wrote a more comprehensive version of their original book, adding another fifty pages or so of information. Our intention was for this book to not only help newcomers to our industry, but also to be useful to the more experienced veterans in our field. One of the strongest reasons we had for writing the book was as a service to our industry and a way of giving back. We also wanted to provide a book to be used as a training tool for all the new people coming into our industry.”
Fundamentals of Printed Circuit Board Technologies is available for download right now on American Standard’s website, located here, free of charge.
