Make a Mosaic Crochet Beanie – Events

Hook and Needle Fiber, 621 Broadway St., Vancouver, is offering a Mosaic Crochet Beanie Class from 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 24. Mosaic crochet is a technique for working with two yarn colors to produce a geometric effect. Students will learn to create colorwork without having to alternate colors multiple times in a row. Students will use single crochet for the brim, double crochets and chains for the mosaic designs. Students should download the pattern in advance at hookandneedlefiber.com/product/mosaic-crochet-beanie-february-24th/579 and complete the brim and the first two rounds. The mosaic portion will be completed in class. Students should bring worsted weight yarn in two colors, a 4.5 mm crochet hook (U.S. size I), stitch marker and pompom maker. Materials can be purchased at Hook and Needle. The class fee is $60. Call 971-319-4164 for more details.
