As we close out April, we’re gearing up for May—which, as it turns out, is National Home Improvement Month. Now, we don’t need a special month to embark on our home improvement projects, but it is a fun occasion to note. And in the run-up to it, you can score some savings on a couple of our favorite DeWalt orbital sanders so you can gear up for your own home projects in the coming weeks without blowing your budget.

On Amazon right now, you can purchase the DeWalt DCW210D1 Orbital Sander set for 37 percent off and the DeWalt DWE6421 Orbital Sander for 11 percent off. Now which one you choose could rely on a couple of factors: First, the DWE6421 is cheaper at a mere $74 with the current discount. That said, it is a corded sander, while the DCW210D1 is a cordless model. And while the DCW210D1 is more expensive, the current discount will allow you to save over $93 on it, and it comes with more than just the sander. Beyond the cordless orbital sander, it also includes a 20-volt Max 2.0Ah battery with a charger, a dust pouch that can go on the sander, plus a tote to store all those in.

Both power tools were included on our list of best orbital power sanders. In our guide, the DCW210D1 won for the best cordless option. “At full speed, DeWalt’s DCW210D1 was the fastest and most aggressive sander we tested,” wrote Senior Home Editor Roy Berendsohn in our guide. “Yet it still sands with very little jarring vibration. It’s also important to note that it did better than many other sanders at lower speeds—some exhibit more vibration and loss of effectiveness as you dial back their speed, but not this one.” On the other hand, the DWE6421 was dubbed the most versatile model, with Berendsohn calling it in that same guide a “journeyman power tool—a good, solid, smoothly operating machine.”

So if you’re looking for a corded sander under $100, the DWE6421 might just be for you, whereas, if you’re interested in a cordless model with all the bells and whistles, the DCW210D1 might be more your speed. Either way, you’ll be getting a great orbital sander for less.
