"The Parliament supported No. 11258 on amendments to the Tax and Customs Code regarding the exemption from VAT and customs duties on the import of goods for the needs of production and/or repair of mechanized demining machines," the statement said.
We are talking about a temporary, for the period of martial law in Ukraine, exemption from customs duties and VAT on the import of components (materials, assemblies, assemblies, equipment and components, including machine kits) for the production or repair of mechanized demining machines.
As reported, the territory of Ukraine, which is potentially contaminated with explosive ordnance due to full-scale Russian aggression, amounted to 156 thousand square kilometers as of the beginning of March 2024, which is about 25% of the total area of the state.
