HIBBING—NewCon Co. of Hibbing considers itself a small company, but they sell their valves across the world.
The company’s unique knife gate valve was invented in 1979 by two families from Hibbing and is now known as “an Iron Range company that has a global presence,’’ according to Jason Schwartz, firm president.
