ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– On Tuesday, Orangeburg County firefighters responded to a reported fire at a boarding home.

When firefighters arrived to the scene, they saw visible smoke showing from the rear of the boarding home.
Crews quickly made their way inside of the boarding home and restricted the fire to the dryer in the laundry room, said the fire district.
Also, the fire district said units conducted ventilation efforts to remove smoke and other products of combustion and once the building was deemed safe, all occupants were allowed back inside.
There were no reports of injuries.
Resort Use Orangeburg County Fire District said the cause of the fire was determined to be excess lint in the dryer trap and exhaust hose.
